Right here in our town of Weissbriach is a small, though truly special family ski area. Just a few kilometers away, guests find one of the country’s top-10 ski areas,
the Nassfeld.
We have the ideal offer in store for practically every winter sports fan.
Weissbriach Family Ski Area
A definite insider tip for active holidaymakers who are also looking for peace & quiet. Weissbriach family ski area features 5 kilometers of pistes and 3 tow lifts, reaching elevations as high as 1200 meters. There is even a children’s lift with bunny hill. Ideal for total rookies! From a ski school and ski rentals, to XC skiing (40 km of trails) and sledding (night-sledding also possible), everything is offered. After you are done for the day, or whenever you need a short break in between, the fun continues at a magical mountain hut. The Schwarzenbachhütte and the Berggeisthütte love to welcome whoever stops by. The ski area is just 500 m from Hotel Naggler.
In our town, World Cup skiers have grown up and learned how to ski. Just a few examples: Max Franz, a current member of the Austrian national ski team, Werner Franz – former World Cup skier and winner of World Cup races, as well as Bernhard Flaschberger, who was a Top-10 World Cup racer back in the 1980s. Many other local skiers have competed in the Europa Cup.

Nassfeld: one of the top-10 ski areas in Austria
The Nassfeld ski area in Carinthia is one of Austria’s top-10 ski resorts, located right on the Italian border. It has something to offer every fan of winter sports, whether skier, freerider or snowboarder. Especially outstanding: the size of Nassfeld, the excellent snow conditions and the wide selection of pistes. Hotel Naggler is 15 km from the ski area.
